Surmounted by the crown of the Karageorgevich Dynasty of Yugoslavia, whose first King, Alexander I, known as Alexander the Unifier, was also the last king of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. Despite his efforts for progress for Yugoslavia as one nation, his actions eventually led to his assassination by a Bulgarian marksman in Marseilles in 1934.
